Yummy French Toast Bake.. Recipe Ingredients

  1. You need 12 of slices day old French bread (1" slices ).
  2. It's 2 1/2 cup of milk.
  3. Prepare 5 of eggs.
  4. You need 1 cup of packed brown sugar( divided).
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg.
  7. You need 1 cup of chopped pecans.
  8. It's 1/4 cup of butter , melted.
  9. It's 2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries.

How to make French Toast Bake.. from scracth

  1. Arrange bread in a greased 13 x9 x 2" baking dish..
  2. In a bowl combine eggs, milk, 3/4 cup brown sugar, vanilla & nutmeg. ( i used cinnamon ). Pour over bread cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. Or overnight..
  3. Remove from the refregerator 30 minutes before baking. Sprinkle pecans over egg mixture. Combine butter and remaining brown sugar . Drizzle over the top. Bake uncovered at 400° for 25 minutes. Sprinkle blueberries. Bake another 10 min.or until knife comes out clean..
